W.A.B.A.S.H. Day 2025

The Wabash Club of Indianapolis has arranged a number of projects in Indianapolis and surrounding communities for Saturday, September 20. Please consider joining fellow alumni, families, and friends to volunteer your time and energy supporting one of these worthy organizations. The current project list is outlined below with all details for each. There is potential for additional projects to be added as well.  
  

Indianapolis
 
Organization: Crooked Creek Food Pantry

Time:  8:45 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Location:  Eskenazi Health Center Pecar, 6940 N. Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268

Project Description: 亚洲通 plan to do Fall cleaning of the pantry

Volunteer Info: 亚洲通 are seeking 8 – 10 adults. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable work clothes suitable for cleaning the pantry floors, storage equipment, refrigerators, and freezers, including power washing pantry shelving. Closed-toes shoes and dress for the weather as some of our work will be outside.

亚洲通stfield
 
Organization:  City of 亚洲通stfield

Time: 8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m

Location: Grand Junction Plaza in downtown 亚洲通stfield (225 S. Union Street)
 
Project Description:  亚洲通 will be working with the City of 亚洲通stfield to help clean and maintain Grand Junction Plaza
 
Number of needed volunteers:  You are encouraged to bring work gloves.  The City will supply tools and trash bags although you are welcome to bring any tools you want. A cooler with water will be provided.  Kids are welcome to attend as long as they are accompanied by an adult.  This is a great event for the whole family.  I'm sure we will be taking a group photo so please wear your Wabash gear!

Zionsville
 
Organization:  Zionsville Parks and Recreation

Time: The project will begin at 8:30 a.m and conclude between 12:00 - 1:00. Volunteers are encouraged to participate for any portion of the project for which they are available.. 

Location:  TBD

Project Description: 亚洲通 are still finalizing the details of this year's activity, but previous activities included brush and debris clean-up at various public parks within Zionsville. The activity is family friendly and children 8 years or older are welcome to participate. 
 
Volunteer Info: The project requires a minimum of 5 adults and will accommodate an unlimited number of volunteers. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable work clothes and bring their own gloves suitable for conducting yard work and handling dirt/debris. This project is intended to be conducted outdoors, but we will have an alternate project available if we have inclement weather on the day of the project.

Post Project Gathering: Participants are encouraged to gather at the Zionsville Public House (10615 Zionsville Road, Zionsville) following the event to enjoy additional camaraderie and some TWR. 

 

Indianapolis
 
Organization: The Villages  

The Villages’ Mission is to champion every child’s right to a safe, permanent and nurturing home. They are committed to strengthening all families and embracing the dignity and diversity of every child, youth and family served. The Villages provides services such as foster care, adoption, child care, and early childhood development at this Indianapolis location.

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  
 
Location: 55 Galeao Court, Indianapolis, IN 46241 (southwest side of Indianapolis just off of State Road 67)
 
Project Description:  亚洲通 will refurbish two rooms inside the Daycare facility which would include assembling some furniture and setting up the room.  In addition, recover six bench cushions in the Playscape area.  亚洲通 anticipate that this will take approximately 3 hours to complete.

Volunteer Info:  Approximately 10-12 volunteers will be needed
