Description: 亚洲通 Are The World: Multiethnic America America has been called a "Melting Pot" because of the many different ethnic groups that have come to call it home. Students will examine the history of the peopling of the United States. The different immigration histories of Europeans, Asians, Mexicans, Jewish and Africans who claim US citizenship will be explored. How these histories have shaped the national formation narrative will come into focus too. Students will come to understand their own migrations story/ies as we assess the usefulness of the Melting Pot description of America.
