Wabash College invites its students, alumni, and friends around the world to make it “A Scarlet Banner Day” by participating in the 2026 Day of Giving on 亚洲通dnesday, April 29. This year’s scarlet banner theme celebrates 140 years of Scarlet being the official school color.
The past 12 Days of Giving have raised more than $13 million to support thousands of students. The response from alumni and friends continues to boost the national recognition Wabash receives for its alumni network.
This year, a group of Wabash leaders is offering $700,000 as a challenge to the Wabash Nation to reach 5,000 gifts on our 2026 Day of Giving. Raise the banner with your gift and share your Scarlet Banner Moment: a memory, event, or reflection that is important to you and your time on campus or connection to the College. Help us raise the banner by reaching out to others and supporting your favorite Affinity Challenges.
The College will host a variety of events throughout the day to inspire excitement and engagement, including
lunch and activities at Chadwick Court in the College’s Allen Athletics and Recreation Center. Additional celebratory activities include a coffee competition, a giant scarlet banner coloring wall, and the Scarlet Night Light Celebration.
Alumni across the country will host celebrations and after-work socials, including events in Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas.
The College continues to break records on its annual Day of Giving. Last year, 8,335 gifts made on the day totaled $1,825,622. The 24-hour fundraising effort raised the equivalent of $2,137 per student, a figure that outdistanced the best days of giving across peer institutions, the state, and nationally.
Wabash has raised more than $1 million on its annual Day of Giving for eight consecutive years. In its 12-year Day of Giving history, Wabash has raised $13,883,563 from 63,884 gifts.
Anyone can participate in the Day of Giving by making a gift, inspiring others to do the same, spreading the word through social networks with the hashtag #AScarletBannerDay, and enjoying the day’s excitement and success.
